It's a cultural phenomenon, as crucial as "disses," a way for artists to mutually endorse each other, bring new proteges to light, collaborate outside of label contracts, etc. Most rap fans obviously know this, but "feats" go beyond mere technical credits in hip-hop. Any other WtT achievements are meaningless in light of this outrageous, despicable, necrophiliac "seance"-particularly appalling the way Kanye credited it: featuring Otis Redding. My harsh criticism of "Watch The Throne" is entirely focused on Otis, the album's second single produced by Kanye West.
